Ayuda

Ayuda provides legal assistance to Hispanic persons and other foreign-born individuals in the DC metropolitan area in two areas: immigration and domestic violence/family law. The Immigration Division provides assistance with the legalization process and issues arising from the new immigration laws. The Domestic Violence/Family Law Division provides holistic legal and social services to battered immigrants, which include protection orders, divorce, child support, and custody disputes. No criminal cases and no fee-generating cases are accepted. There is a Notary Public on the staff and photographs and fingerprints are taken for immigration purposes.

** Please note:  We are temporarily unable to accept new family law cases (divorce, custody, and child support).  We continue to accept new Civil Protection Order cases on a walk-in basis and through referrals.
