Southeast Louisiana Legal Services
Southeast Louisiana Legal Services (SLLS) is a non-profit law office which has served low-income community residents since 1979. SLLS provides free services to eligible people through its staff and volunteer attorneys. SLLS works with community groups and social service agencies to give up-to-date information about legal issues affecting the poor in Louisiana. SLLS also collaborates with other legal advocacy organizations around the state, and nationally, in litigation and educational efforts to protect the legal rights of the poor and to improve their lives.
The Hammond office serves the parishes of Livingston, St. Helena and Tangipahoa. The Covington office serves the parishes of St. Tammany and Washington. Parishes south of Lake Ponchartrain are served by the New Orleans and Marrero offices. SLLS covers a 10-parish area. Please see www.slls.org for a map of the service area. |
