The Pro Bono Project
The Pro Bono Project provides free legal services in civil problems with merit (excluding emergencies and fee-generating cases) to indigents in the greater New Orleans metropolitan area, primarily through volunteer attorneys. Income eligibility is established by using the federal poverty level guidelines. In addition to individual repesentation, The Pro Bono Project conducts legal clinics at homeless service providers in Orleans Parish and senior centers in Jefferson Parish, and a wage claim clinic targeted at the growing Hispanic community. Attorneys are also available to make presentations to interested groups and social service agencies. |
